By pursuing an active HSE policy, we strive to ensure the safety and health of our employees and third parties and to save the environment as much as possible. In short, the policy focuses on preventing personal injury and material and environmental damage.

As an employee, you can gain insight into the Risk Inventory and Evaluation (RI&E). This will give you a clear picture of the risks you run while working and the control measures taken to prevent accidents and health damage. We also aim to provide repeated instruction in order to maintain or improve knowledge and awareness of occupational risks. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided free of charge to protect you from the risks in your work. We ask you to wear them and handle them carefully. Within Verkade Bedrijven B.V., risks, control measures and safety instructions are shared via the VCA instruction book and several toolboxes per year, among other things.
An important principle is that we start from a policy where prevention is paramount, in order to deal with undesirable elements at a later stage. We therefore offer you the opportunity to undergo a periodic preventive medical examination (PMO). You can report to the management for this.
To continue meeting the above, we follow the requirements of VCA, through which we strive for continuous improvement in terms of safety, health and environment. Obtaining the VCA certificate allows us to communicate this internally and externally. The management has appointed Mike Hanique as VGM coordinator to support them in all this.
